1960s Volkswagen Beetle-Based Mactra Utility Vehicle
This Mactra Utility Vehicle, based on a Volkswagen Beetle, was produced in New Zealand in the early 1960s and has been modified and refurbished in the style of a drag racer. Imported to Germany in 2010, it features a 1,570cc Volkswagen flat-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The exterior is finished in Reed Green with a white roof, and modifications include Protech adjustable coilovers, a wooden bed liner, and sliding side windows. It rides on 15″ wide-five wheels with drum brakes at all corners and includes interior upgrades like a Grant GT steering wheel and a Gene Berg floor shifter.
