1969 Volkswagen Beetle-Style Roadster by DGHMIEL
This custom 1969 Volkswagen Beetle roadster was transformed by a Southern California hot rod builder in the 1990s. The build features a 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine with an Edelbrock intake manifold and Weber carburetor, paired with a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end. The body modifications include removing the roof and fenders, chopping the windshield, and fitting fiberglass body components, all repainted in red. It rides on a custom tubular ladder frame with coilovers and Morrison ladder bars, also featuring four-wheel disc brakes and 15″ Center Line wheels. The interior is equipped with aftermarket high-back bucket seats and a variety of custom instrumentation.
