Delta IRF4 Formula Race Car
This Delta IRF4 is an open-wheel Formula race car originally campaigned in the British F4 Championship Series in 1975 and 1976 by John Brown, securing the 1976 Championship. It was brought to the US in 1977 and participated in several SCCA competitions. Powered by a 997cc Cosworth MAE inline-four, the engine features dual Weber carburetors and a Hewland four-speed manual transmission, with a recent rebuild in May 2022. The car includes removable black fiberglass body panels with yellow stripes, a roll hoop, a rear spoiler, and is equipped with a Pertronix ignition system. Additional modifications include adjustable coilovers, multi-piece wheels with Avon slicks, Wilwood brake master cylinders, Sabelt harnesses, and a FireSense fire suppression system. The vehicle is offered in Augusta, Michigan, along with spare parts and an SCCA logbook.
