The 1998 Mobility Outfitters GearBox is a one-of-a-kind concept vehicle designed by Stewart Reed. Unveiled at the 1998 North American International Auto Show, it was created as a multipurpose adventure and utility vehicle. The GearBox combines SUV ruggedness with the versatility of an expedition van, featuring a solar panel roof, modular storage, and an adventure-ready cabin. It is powered by a 4.3-liter V6 engine paired with an automatic transmission and was showcased in the Petersen Automotive Museum. Now offered by Heritage Gruppe, this vehicle represents a unique piece of late-1990s automotive design history.
