434 Windsor-Powered 1985 Ford Mustang Fox Body Bracket Car
This 1985 Ford Mustang Fox Body was revitalized by Tim and Cole Knieriem into a formidable bracket car. Originally raced by Cole’s father, the car was parked for years before being rebuilt into a reliable performer. It now features a naturally aspirated 434ci Windsor engine, based on an Iron Eagle block with Brodix heads and a solid roller cam. The suspension setup is straightforward but effective, paired with a Racepak Sportsman data logger for precision tuning. The Mustang consistently runs 5.60s to 5.70s in the eighth-mile, proving its competitive edge by winning the NHRA Division III Race of Champions in Super Pro.
