400hp Trans-Am Inspired 1968 Ford Mustang
Kurt Russman's 1968 Ford Mustang is built in a Trans-Am style reminiscent of privateer racers from the past. Powered by a 331ci stroker Windsor V8 with an estimated 400 horsepower, the car is set up for both road courses and autocross. The engine features GT40 heads, an aluminum intake, and a Holley 650 carburetor. It has a Top-Loader 4-speed transmission and a Ford 8.8 rear axle from a 1994 Cobra with 3.73 gears and a limited slip differential. Cragar 'Soft 8' wheels are fitted with 255/30R17 front and 275/40R17 rear tires. Painted in Wimbledon White, this Mustang was built by Kurt in his home garage using many hand-me-down and swap-meet parts.
