1000hp Godzilla-Powered Ford Mustang
Preston Folkestad and his father Bob transformed a 1988 Ford Mustang into a formidable machine known as Foxzilla, powered by a 7.3-liter Ford Godzilla V8 making over 1000 horsepower. The build features extensive customization including a Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front suspension, custom steel widebody fenders, and a unique side-exit exhaust inspired by Ken Block's Gymkhana builds. The Mustang rides on 18x11-inch Forgeline FF1 wheels with 315mm Falken RT660 tires, and utilizes six-piston Brembo brakes for stopping power. Key modifications include carbon fiber body panels, a Tremec T-56 transmission, and adjustable boost control reaching up to 1000hp. Competitively entered in events like the Optima series and Ford Fest, the car is designed for both autocross and track performance.
