Coyote-Swapped Ford Capri by James Meredith
James Meredith's Ford Capri features a Ford Coyote engine swap, making it a standout in NMRA competition. Originally a 1970s model, the Capri includes a Gen 1 short block Coyote engine with forged pistons, ported Gen 2 heads, and a Cobra Jet intake, producing about 550hp with an additional 100hp from nitrous. The car boasts a custom front suspension and 8.50-certified roll cage. Running a strengthened C4 automatic transmission paired with an 8.8-inch rear end, the 2500-pound Capri achieves low-9-second ETs. Meredith has achieved significant success, including NMRA class wins and a strong performance at the Capri Swarm and Ford Fest events.
