
Modified 1981 Commuter Vehicles Comuta-Car
This 1981 Commuter Vehicles Comuta-Car is an electric vehicle finished in orange with white graphics. Originally developed by Sebring-Vanguard and later acquired by Commuter Vehicles, Inc., this car features an ABS plastic body mounted to an aluminum spaceframe. Powered by a six-horsepower GE Series DC motor, it runs on sixteen replacement lithium-ion batteries. The vehicle includes 13-inch steel wheels with Sebring-Vanguard–branded polished hubcaps, impact bumpers with chrome trim, LED headlamps, and a vinyl roof. The interior features a white vinyl split-back bench seat, woodgrain dash trim, an AM radio, and a heater. Service updates since 2015 include battery, motherboard, and controller replacements. Offered with an owner’s manual, service manual, and clean Oregon title.
