1975 Toyota Celica by Speed Warhouse
This 1975 Toyota Celica, built by Pennsylvania-based Speed Warhouse, was transformed into a drag-racing sensation with a heart-stopping 2JZ-GTE engine. Originally purchased as a clean white example, the Celica underwent an incredible transformation to compete at the TX2K drag racing event. The team equipped it with a 2JZ-GTE engine making approximately 1000 horsepower, paired with a V160 six-speed transmission and a Ford nine-inch rear differential. To handle the power, Speed Warhouse fabricated custom engine and transmission mounts and created a new four-link rear suspension. Despite a minor setback with wheel studs during the event, the build garnered massive attention online, setting a new benchmark for outrageous power in a vintage chassis.
