Supercharged DS-500R Mustang by Ironworks
This award-winning 1967 DS-500R Mustang, built by Ironworks Speed & Kustom, seamlessly merges classic styling with modern performance. The project features a custom body design, widened to accommodate GT40-inspired 19- and 20-inch EVOD wheels. Under the hood lies a heavily modified 5.4-liter Modular V8, originally from an SVT GT500, paired with a Tremec T-56 gearbox. With Detroit Speed suspension and Wilwood brakes, this restomod maintains an aggressive stance. Inside, red leather upholstery with modern trims gives a nod to elegant supercar design. Its unique craftsmanship won the Outstanding Engineering award at the Grand National Roadster Show and was named Street Machine of the Year by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association.
