Turbocharged 1987 Buick Grand National Drag Car
This 1987 Buick Grand National is a purpose-built drag car powered by a turbocharged 260ci V6 engine from RPE Performance Engines. The engine upgrades include a Precision 88mm turbocharger, Carrillo pistons, and a front-mounted intercooler. It's paired with a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission. The car's exterior features include black paint, a chin spoiler, hood pins, and a parachute. Suspension is handled by AFCO Racing coilovers and QA1 shocks, while stopping power comes from Aerospace Components disc brakes. Inside, the car hosts Corbeau racing seats, a full roll cage, and several aftermarket instruments including a FAST XFI 2.0 ECU. Moser axles, Weld Racing Prostar wheels, and Mickey Thompson drag tires complete this race-ready build, suitable for serious track performance.
