LSx-Powered BMW E30 Challenge Car
This BMW E30 was transformed into a formidable machine by Vorshlag Motorsports for the $2010 GRM Challenge. Undergoing significant modifications, it features a potent LSx V8 swap. Initially challenged by budget constraints, the team utilized an iron block 5.3L V8 but now seeks an aluminum block for improved weight distribution. With a focus on enhancing performance, the build also includes M3 front spindles, calipers, and control arms. While the current transmission, a V6 Camaro T5, faces reliability issues, future upgrades are planned for improved durability. The car reflects Vorshlag's dedication, with over 1500 hours of meticulous work.
