Nissan R33 GT-R "DAI33" by Dai Yoshihara
The DAI33 began as a mild project by Dai Yoshihara, transforming from a daily driver into a tribute to the rare 400R. Unveiled at SEMA 2022, this Nissan R33 GT-R features GReddy's new RB-spec 2.8-liter stroker engine paired with a turbo system capable of delivering over 1,000 horsepower. To handle this immense power, an OS Giken OS-88 sequential six-speed transmission was installed. A well-balanced blend of performance and road comfort defines the DAI33. Key components include a StopTech big brake kit, Ohlins Road & Track coilovers, SPL adjustable rear arms, Ikeya Formula front control arms, Whiteline sways, Titan 7 T-07 wheels reminiscent of the original R33 design, and 400R body parts. Inside, updates include Recaro Speed V seats and a Haltech digital dash. Despite its significant performance enhancements, the DAI33 maintains everyday usability, blending modern upgrades with its analog core, making it a standout in the JDM hero car category.
