LT-Swapped Mazda RX-2 at LS Fest
James Schauer brought his uniquely built 1972 Mazda RX-2 to the Holley LS Fest for the first time. The car features a Gen 5 L83 engine swap and is designed as a streetcar, achieving about 27 miles per gallon while being capable of participating in events like Rocky Mountain Race Week. Schauer built the car for versatility, allowing both daily driving and racing events, with the intent of also teaching his girlfriend how to race. The RX-2 demonstrates performance with a recorded pass of 12.0 seconds on the track.
