700hp Twin-Turbo LS-Swapped Mazda Miata
Overseen by Ryan Hamilton in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, this first-gen Mazda Miata features a potent engine swap to a 5.3-liter LM7 V8 borrowed from a Chevy Tahoe. Initially intended for autocross, the build has evolved into a drag-focused beast with a turbocharged LS setup. Key features include a Nissan JK40 manual gearbox, a Ford 8.8 IRS with a limited-slip differential, and twin Borg Warner S480 turbos. Extensive custom fabrication by Hamilton ensures everything fits snugly, complemented by a two-to-one Treadstone intercooler and dual Walbro 450 fuel pumps, resulting in approximately 700hp.
