DiDia 150: The Masterpiece That Was Once the World's Most Expensive Custom
The DiDia 150, designed by fashion designer Andy Di Dia, is a unique coachbuilt masterpiece completed in 1960. Known as 'The Bobby Darin Dream Car,' it was built with an aluminum-alloy tube chassis and featured aerospace-inspired bodywork, retractable headlights, and a panoramic rear window. Powered initially by a 510 hp Cadillac V8, it was later updated with a 427 Ford V8. It boasted advanced features for its time, including electrically opening doors and a sophisticated climate control system. The car is preserved at the National Museum of Transportation.
