This 2016 Ford Mustang Trans Am TA2 race car, built by Howe Racing Enterprises, features a Mustang-style composite body on a tube frame chassis. It is equipped with a 6.2-liter Howe/McLaren V8 mated to an MVE Shur Shift 500 four-speed manual transmission and a Tiger quick-change rear end with a Gleason Torsen differential. The car rides on 15-inch wheels with a Watt’s linkage rear end, adjustable coilovers with Hyperco springs, and Wilwood disc brakes.
