1970s Chevrolet Sprint Car by Lem Tolliver
This 1970s Chevrolet sprint car was modified for street use in the early 1980s by sprint car driver Lem Tolliver. Featuring a 340ci Chevy V8 engine with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Scorpion I intake manifold, it’s paired to a three-speed automatic transmission and a quick-change differential. The car has a tubular chassis with a roll cage, chrome nerf bars, removable headlights, turn signals, and taillights. The bodywork, done by Grant King Race Shops, is finished in red and white with sponsor decals and number '5'. It runs on 15" knock-off alloy wheels with a staggered tire setup and features a unique cockpit with racing instruments and a single seat. It has a history of family ownership and a clean California title listing it as a 1926 Maxwell.
