Twin V8 Wolfrace Sonic Show Car
The Wolfrace Sonic, a 1981 creation by Barry Treacy and Nick Butler, was a six-wheel custom car made to showcase Wolfrace Wheels' Sonic alloys. This show car featured two mid-mounted 3.5-liter Rover V8 engines, producing a total output of 400 hp. Built on a custom frame with Jaguar E-Type and Triumph Dolomite components, it had a fiberglass body inspired by advanced fighter jets and stealth bombers. The vehicle included individual cockpits, pop-up headlights, and a large rear spoiler. Although it faced challenges, the Wolfrace Sonic remains an iconic piece of British automotive history.
