1965 Chevrolet Corvette "Shadowfax" by Joe Palka and Speedos Paint and Body
The 'Shadowfax' is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette transformed into a restomod by Joe Palka and Speedos Paint and Body. Originally a 15,000+ production mid-year roadster housing a non-matching L75 327 engine. It underwent a complete transformation, including the installation of a new frame from Street Shop, Inc. featuring fourth-generation Corvette suspension. The build is powered by a Chevrolet Performance LS376 engine pushing 484 rear-wheel horsepower and is paired with a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed transmission. The car features Hot Rods by Boyd wheels and a sophisticated brake system with Wilwood calipers and Hydratech Braking Systems' brake assist. Extensive body work, including a full birdcage repair and handcrafted paintwork, brought this vision inspired by Tolkien's legendary horse to life. Speedos Paint and Body led the metalwork, ensuring the vehicle's integrity and elegance.
