Hydrogen-Powered Supercharged LS3 1948 Chevrolet 3100
This 1948 Chevrolet 3100, nicknamed 'Zero,' is a unique restomod by Mike Copeland of Arington Performance. It features a supercharged 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine that runs on hydrogen instead of gasoline. First unveiled at the 2022 SEMA Show, this hot rod combines a classic look with modern innovation, producing over 400 horsepower. The hydrogen is stored in a tank mounted in the truck bed, and the setup delivers a traditional V8 sound. Copeland aims to develop an affordable hydrogen fuel conversion package for classic cars, keeping big-displacement engines on the road once gasoline is phased out.
