1025hp Chevy Big-Block Powered 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Wagon
The 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, known as 'CadMad', is a highly customized build that transforms the classic into a unique station wagon. Originally one of 99, this Eldorado Brougham features a Pininfarina body and now sports a roof sourced from a Chevrolet Nomad. The body modifications include being shortened by 18 inches and narrowed by 4 inches, with only two doors replacing the original four. The build retains classic elements like the hood ornament and lamps, with subtle modifications. Inside, it features leather-wrapped Recaro bucket seats from a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V. Under the hood, a Nelson Racing-tuned 632ci big-block Chevrolet V8 engine delivers a massive 1,025 hp and 950 lb-ft of torque, paired with a C5 Corvette transaxle. This award-winning build will be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson in 2020.
