
1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTR by Holbert Racing
This 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTR is one of six built by Al Holbert Racing using bodies and components supplied by Porsche Motorsport. Known as chassis 924-004, the car competed in the 1981 and 1982 SCCA Trans-Am seasons and was later raced in the IMSA Camel GT competition by Bruce Leven’s Bayside Disposal Racing team. It features semi-tube-frame construction, a 1,984cc Audi inline-four engine with a water-cooled turbocharger, Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and dual water pumps. Other features include a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential, MacPherson strut front suspension, BBS wheels, and a Löwenbräu livery. Restored and maintained by Vintage Racing Motors between 2017 and 2019, this 924 Carrera GTR is offered on dealer consignment in Redmond, Washington.
