1986 Porsche 930 Turbo by Rob Ida
This masterfully crafted 1986 Porsche 930 Turbo, built by Rob Ida of Rob Ida Concepts, was unveiled at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The car, once owned by a performance-driven enthusiast, underwent a transformation while preserving its classic aesthetics. Noteworthy features include custom Braid USA BZ Classic wheels and a Motion Control Suspension coilover setup to achieve the ideal stance. The bodywork involved tailored bumpers and brushed aluminum details, retaining the iconic 930 silhouette while modernizing its appearance. The engine received a refresh with a Borg Warner K27 turbocharger and a 964 intercooler installed by air-cooled specialist Lou Hodi. The interior features bespoke GTS Classics seats, a Renown USA steering wheel, and enhanced safety with a roll bar. This Turbo exemplifies understated elegance amidst the boldness of SEMA.
