1978 Mazda 808 IMSA Race Car by Arabian Motorsports

This 1978 Mazda 808 coupe was transformed into an IMSA-style race car by Arabian Motorsports in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The car was later donated to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation and has been part of the IMS Museum collection. Powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission, it features custom racing livery, a full roll cage, Lexan windows, and a single racing seat. The 808 is equipped with a custom front air dam and a cowl-mounted electrical cutoff switch. The blue-painted wheels have polished lips and are mounted with Goodyear Blue Streak Sports Car Special tires.
