860hp 598ci Big-Block 1963 Ford Galaxie Wagon
Tom Motycka's 1963 Ford Galaxie Wagon is a remarkable blend of performance and history. After acquiring the car and bringing it up from Alabama in a dismantled state, Motycka transformed it into a formidable drag racer. The wagon features an all-aluminum 598ci big-block Ford V8, originally built by Holbrook Racing Engines, making 860 horsepower. It uses a Starliner chassis with Calvert Racing suspension components and features a chrome moly cage and custom-built headers. Previously used NOS roof rack and fiberglass components help manage its weight. The Galaxie, weighing 4,005 lbs with driver, runs a best time of 10.40 seconds at 126 mph. Designed to fit comfortably within the 10.10 Index class, the car continues to evolve as it aims for even more performance.
