Dinan Turbo BMW E30 "Bad Dog"
This 1988 BMW 325iX, known as "Bad Dog," is rally-prepped and features a Dinan-built 2.7L turbocharged inline-six engine capable of producing 350 hp. The extensive modifications include a 5-speed close-ratio manual transmission by MetricMechanic, Recaro Orthoped seats, and a roll cage. Originally purchased by Satch Carlson in 1994, the car was raced extensively until 2000 and later won several rallies, including Mendocino Gold and No Alibi. The build includes a robust skidplate, Dinan intake, turbo, and intercooler, providing significant performance upgrades. Despite signs of wear from rallying, like chipped paint and rear wheel rocker damage, this vehicle is equipped for competitive racing and road legality.
