Tesla Model 3 Pikes Peak by Evasive Motorsports
Evasive Motorsports, a team known for its JDM and time attack projects, has unveiled their Tesla Model 3 racecar for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This Tesla Model 3 has been built to challenge the production EV record at the 99th running of this iconic race, known for its treacherous 12.42-mile climb to 14,115 ft. Evasive Motorsports is leveraging its track experience to modify a Tesla into a formidable racecar despite challenges in modifying electric vehicles. The build features custom hardware including KW Competition 3-way coilovers, Brembo brakes, and a custom CSF radiator and oil cooler. It sits on brand new forged Titan 7 wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires racing slicks, specifically designed for the Pikes Peak competition. Aerodynamics have been enhanced with custom Evasive-designed aero parts like carbon splitters and diffusers. To further optimize performance, the car has shed 600 pounds, countering the weight of an FIA-spec roll cage.
