2014 Subaru WRX STI NBR 24-Hour Race Car by Subaru Tecnica International

The 2014 Subaru WRX STI, developed by Subaru Tecnica International (STI) and Fuji Heavy Industries, was a fierce contender in the SP3T class during the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Based on the 2015 WRX STI chassis, this race car was designed to handle the challenging 15-mile course with its 300 meters of elevation changes and 170 corners. Equipped with a modified 2.0-liter engine generating 340 hp and 340 lb-ft, it used predominantly stock parts to comply with class rules, including a 38mm restrictor. Custom re-valved Bilstein adjustable race coilovers, BBS CH-R wheels with Dunlop tires, and Brembo Monobloc brakes ensured optimal performance. Interior modifications featured Recaro bucket seats, a roll cage, and advanced electronics like a Motec ECU and display. Despite facing several setbacks during the race, STI showcased their engineering prowess and dedication, delivering a strong performance and securing victory in subsequent years.
