2011 BMW M3 by Justin Johnson
This 2011 BMW M3, owned by Justin Johnson, has been transformed from a daily driver into a dedicated track car. Originally equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 414hp, it now features significant performance upgrades. Key improvements include JRZ Pro 3-way shock absorbers with a true rear coilover conversion, StopTech brakes, and track-proven aero enhancements. Data logging played a critical role in the build, with telemetry setup through an AiM MXG dash logger and SmartyCam integration. The M3 rides on Volk Racing TE37 wheels, and an extensive rear airfoil by APR, mounted on HARD Motorsport chassis mount uprights, provides unique aerodynamic advantages. Tony Colicchio from TC Design reinforced the shock towers and installed a weld-in half cage for increased chassis rigidity. The project highlights a balance between function and style, with the carbon fiber hood complementing the factory carbon fiber roof.
