1986 Ford Mustang by Jace Nester

Jace Nester's 1986 Ford Mustang is a testament to budget-minded ingenuity and personal passion for performance. Initially acquired for just $110, this Mustang now boasts a powerful 427 cubic-inch LSX engine fitted with a Callies Dragonslayer crankshaft, Oliver billet-steel connecting rods, Wiseco pistons, a custom camshaft from Lil John's Motorsport Solutions, and Mast LS7 cylinder heads. Boosting its performance are twin Borg Warner S480 turbochargers. The driveline includes a torque converter from Ultimate Converter Concepts and a Powerglide transmission built by Keith Racing Transmissions. Handling and control are enhanced with a Team Z Motorsports K-member and control arms, complemented by Menscer Motorsports struts and Afco Racing shocks. Despite its streetability, the car excels on the drag strip, fueled by dedication and support from a community that includes notable industry figures. Despite a recent setback with an oil line failure, Nester is committed to rebuilding and continuing his journey.
