TF-Works transformed their 1987 BMW 325is by swapping in a turbocharged 1.5 L Honda L15B7 inline-four engine from a Civic Si. This setup is paired with a Miata (ND2) six-speed manual transmission, giving the classic coupe unique Honda reliability and performance characteristics. The L15B7 engine features an aluminum block with cast-in iron liners, lightweight steel rods, and a single-scroll turbocharger, making it a distinctive and innovative engine swap.
